Your host Todji Kurtzman is a self-made artist entrepreneur. His art career has gone hand in hand with his hospitality career since he started restoring a neglected 1907 house in SE Portland in the year 2000. Todji restored the house for 17 years while renting rooms to other artists and sculpting at night.

His art career has gone hand in hand with his hospitality career since he started restoring a neglected 1907 house in SE Portland in the year 2000. Todji restored the house for 17 years while renting rooms to other artists and sculpting at night.
Todji is a sculptor, photographer, musician, contractor and hospitality artist! He is the son of an architect and interior designer and his artistic family has many internationally known visual artists and musicians.
All the photographs, set dressing, art collection, and some of the home remodeling seen here was created by your host Todji.
Todji's sculpture studio is onsite and he will be staying there during your visit. Todji wishes to develop Astral Acres into a sculpture park!
Todji is available to co-create an excellent experience with you, please feel free with questions! He is available to assist you during your stay and also to respect privacy.
The house and land can be configured in a variety of ways to accommodate your vision!
Astral Acres offers a beautiful 3 or 4 bedroom home on 5 acres that can sleep 11 to 15 inside on a maximum of nine beds / futon sleepers, 2 to 4 people outside in the Lotus Belle Tent, plus individual tent camping for approximately 50 people.
Bring personal tents to camp outside for larger events. The house has two full bathrooms. Out

Outdoors there are two composting toilets and three outdoor showers that are available for larger summer gatherings. The parking lot can accommodate 25 to 35 cars, weather dependent. Rentals that do not require the use of the entire house are priced lower, such as daytime events or weekend retreats which can be in the $500 - $1200 range.

This is a great location for do it yourself weddings, ceremonies and events. We can support your event with collaborative planning and co-creation. We don't provide services like catering, table and tent rentals; our guests are welcome to make those arrangements themselves.
